Fujian Cereals,Oils & Foodstuffs Import & Export Group Corporation is one of the greatest state-owned professional foreign trade firms in Fujian province. The former name was known as Fujian Cereals, Oils & Foodstuffs Import & Export Corporation which established in 1953. With more than forty-years development, it has grown up to a comprehensive enterprise group, taking the trade as it's leading business, combining trade with industry, agriculture, commerce and technology.
	The corporation is one of 200 enterprises gaining the largest amount of import and export. At the early years of 1950's, the annual turnover was about USD870,000 only. However, the volume increases year by year. Since 1997 reached USD0.3 billion of which export volume was about USD 0.2 billion each. In 1991, it ranked among the second grade enterprise ( the highest level in commercial service class). In the 1990's, the corporation has been more than once awarded the titles of "National advanced management enterprise in foreign trade system" , "National ten best profit enterprises in economic and trade system", "Provincial advanced profit enterprise" and "Provincial advanced enterprise serving farming".
	There are more than twenty offices and departments under the leadership of the general manager's room in the corporation, such as finance & accounting, audit, planning & statistics, personnel and education, investment and subsidiary enterprise boards, together with business boards of canned food, aquatic products, fresh & preserved produce I and II, frozen food, cereals,oils & groceries, livestock & poultry products, import, wine and beverages, domestic trade, packaging, transportation, comprehensive trade I, II, III, IV and V. It has set up trade and affair offices in USA, Holand and Hongkong. The corporation owns an advanced office building with general area of 7800 square meters, together with 7 refrigeration plants and 2 eel-roasting plants, more than 10 subsidiary enterprises such as a general foodstuffs processing plant, a paper carton making plant and so on. In addition, it also possesses its own truck brigade, reefer fleet and a special wharf with 5000 ton capacity, and a large appropriative depot. There are more than ten joint-venture enterprises established inland and abroad and over 20 closed inner-joint-stoke firms and dozens of cooperative enterprises, touching upon industries of food manufacture, planting, breeding, foodstuffs manufacture, making-up materials container, real eatate, property management, advertisement, sports and leisure, and restaurant and entertainment.
	At present, the corporation deals with 32 species and hundreds of classes of commodity. It mainly exports such merchandise as Narcissus brand canned vegetables ( mushroom, asparagus ), canned fruits, aquatic and sea products, pork and other canned food, plus Two-sailers brand roasted eel, prawn, frozen fish, together with fresh and dry lychee, longan, mushroom, boiled bamboo shoots, garlic, vegetables, living pig and sheep, eggs and egg products, dry rice noodles, peanut and so on. Meantime , it also exports commodity of light industrial products, shoes and caps, craftwork, chinaware, ironware and metals, health medicare, equipment for machine and electricity, and so forth. Besides, it mainly imports commodity such as foodstuff, cooking oil, milk powder, wine and other food, plus making-up materials such as paper, cardboard, sheet tinplates, plastic. Among those export commodities, there are 17 classes which gain the export amount of up to USD 1 million respectively. Moreover, Narcissus brand canned lychees, longans and bean sprouts, Dachang brand foodstuff, Two-sailers brand roasted eel, etc. have ever been honored the inland and overseers gold prize, and are known far and near.
	During the 40 years, the corporation constantly adheres to the aim of observing contract and maintaining commercial integrity, equality and mutual benefit, and follows the enterprise soul of "unity, rising in vigor, keeping-faith, high-effciency" with which it won the trust of the economic and trade relationship with over 100 countries and regions including Hongkong ,Singapore, Japan, Germany, Canada, USA, Argentina, Kuwait, Morocco and Australia, and keeps touch with more than 300 overseas clients. The corporation will follow the demand of socialist market economy, establish and inner running mechanism of its own distinctive feature, cooperate intimately with inland and overseas clients, and seek common progress and gain new achievements.
